Two people. One shop. Forty-plus years of combined opinions on how bodywork should actually be done.

Eric
Eric traded advertising meetings for actual repair work, which has been better for everyone involved. He owns the shop, keeps things moving, and locks in hard on paint work.
If something looks like it arrived by horse and buggy, this is usually where he starts smiling a little.

Darin
Darin founded the shop back in 1983 and has handled just about every mechanical fix at least twice since.
There have also been more Bigfoot sightings around here than photos of Darin, which makes sense because Darin is usually under a car and Bigfoot at least occasionally stands up.

Questions people actually ask
Do I need an appointment, or can I just stop by?
Stop by during business hours and we will take a look. A quick call first means we can have the right person free when you arrive instead of pulled under someone else’s car.
How long does it take to get an estimate?
For most collision and deer damage, a look in person takes a few minutes and you leave with a written estimate the same visit. Bigger jobs like a full repaint take a little longer because there is more to walk through.
Are estimates really free?
Yes. Estimates are free and come with no commitment. We tell you what it needs, what it will cost, and what can wait, and you decide from there.
Do you do classic car restoration?
We do, and it is some of our favorite work. From primer and bodywork through final paint, we take on the occasional restoration when someone brings us a project worth doing right. If it looks like it arrived by horse and buggy, even better.
How far out do you travel for the North Shore?
The shop sits on Scenic 61 in Duluth, and we regularly see drivers from Two Harbors, Silver Bay, Lutsen, Grand Marais, Cloquet, and Hermantown. Call before a long drive and we will help you decide whether to drive it or tow it.
How long will my repair take?
Small panel and bumper work often turns around in a few days. Structural repairs with parts on order run a week or more, and restorations take as long as doing them right takes. You get a realistic timeline after we see the car, not a guess before.
